Our First Trip to VNEA World Championships, Las Vegas

What a fun week! But now our VNEA Pool Tournament Las Vegas trip is over. Becky and I fly back home on the red eye flight tonight after 7 days… which is a long time in LV.

Thanks to my wife Becky for always looking for ways to make these trips even better! – one of many things I love about you ❤️

Thanks to our League operator, Stephanie Fields for paying registration costs for her teams to compete!

Thanks to my team for making the trip out here, and for the fun times we had! This was my first go at Valley and it was tough! You play against every player’s best game and it very quickly becomes clear, there are many skilled players across the states and globally – loved every minute of it!!

If you live in Ohio, expect to see a strong showing of players in Las Vegas from back home. There are so many players and friends out here that we have made over the years. It’s like vacationing with 100+ friends! 😎

I’m including some photos from our trip. Sadly, we didn’t capture all the fun times we had while here. Even so, we had so much fun with so many of you!

Since we seem to find ourselves out here every year, here are some observations that could be helpful if you are planning a trip:

1. Vegas is only getting more expensive but there are still options!

2. Try Ellis Island if you want a fantastic steak dinner for $11.99 and Drafts for $3.00

3. The Westgate is expensive and cheaper options are distant. Stay somewhere on the monorail line that is closer to mid-strip (hotels are cheaper and closer to shopping and food)

4. Consider Ocean One for a cheaper meal and awesome drink specials (in the Miracle Mile)

5. Download or use the Shipt app if you want to have regular priced grocery delivered to your resort

Until next time… 🎱 🧳 ✈️ 😉
